Each plan includes a monthly QU allowance. Costs depend on which surface you call from.
Default rate. Each /api/v2 call (events, stories, entities, summaries, energy assets) and each MCP V2 tool call counts as 1 QU.
Tool calls fired by the in-app Agent are billed at 5× the standard rate. One agent run typically triggers 5–10 tool calls across GDELT Cloud, Energy Data, and enrichment categories.
Energy Data (Global Energy Monitor assets), Macroeconomic & Finance, Prediction Markets, and Open Web Search tools all consume QU when called via MCP.

Briefs are metered in BU, separate from QU — they never draw down your query units. Each plan includes a monthly BU allowance; buy more anytime.
